Alert visitors, on those increasingly rare occasions when there are any, may have noticed that the look of this music site changed in early 2011. There are now even more obscure facts about the early 1960s rock’n'roll scene, plus many more images from then until the present day, and even some links where you can listen to some of my musical efforts over the years. (NB. As from June 2011 all external links open in new windows.)
I hope you like the site and if so please get in touch; many nice people have already done so and it’s been great to hear from them. In addition, if you can share any pics of any of the bands I’ve played in, it would be great to be able to add them to the site. The real prize would be the discovery of a photo of the original 1961 line-up of Zoot Money’s Big Roll Band, which would make several old men happy, but any pics or memories would be welcome (indiscreet ones in a plain sealed envelope please). That’ll help me with new material for keeping the site up-to-date. Meanwhile, whether or not you’ve been here before, what are you waiting for? Come on in!
Cheers, Al Kirtley
p.s. Don’t forget to check out the What’s New? page!
p.p.s. Why not check out my novel, Act of God? It only takes a couple of clicks to download it straight to your Kindle or iPad from Amazon. Go on, it’s less than a quid!
